Snorkeling in a Prehistoric Sinkhole

To say that Williston Florida is in the middle of nowhere in Florida is an understatement. It is about a 30 minute drive southwest of Gainesville, but it feels much further removed from any city of any size. The town of Williston is small enough that you would almost miss it if you blinked. Off the main drag through town, past some horse ranches is the one thing that keeps people coming to this small town. Devil’s Den Prehistoric Springs.

I have seen pictures of this place floating around the internet, either from Pinterest or Instagram, and it looked delightful…
